As noted at WWDC, the iPhone 4 is getting left out and will receive no more major iOS upgrades. Obviously, iOS 8 will come preinstalled with Apple’s newly announced iOS devices, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
As part of its event, Apple has jut announced that iOS 8 — featuring revamped Maps, extensions, custom keyboards, quick actions and much more — will be released for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on the 17th of September. The new version of Apples mobile operating system supports almost all of the currently-sold iOS devices — iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPad 2, iPad 3 (‘the new iPad’), iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad Mini with Retina Display and the fifth-generation iPod touch.
