The iPhone is home to some of the best portable video games ever made. Unfortunately, they must be downloaded from one of the worst digital marketplaces. Farming simulations and clones too often dominate the App Store's best selling list. Unusual and inspired games are left to fight for short stints on the coveted front page.
Everyone’s heard about how hard Apple worked to keep the original iPhone a secret. Last year, Fast Co Design wrote a great look into Apple’s paranoia about someone leaking the device before the big unveil:
Billboards can be big and unwieldy things. Sometimes big things need to bend a little to fit into the limited space of our puny little planet. And sometimes the thing that's being advertised is so perfectly in sync with the billboard's shape as to require no further explanation.
Although benchmarks have already shown that the iPhone 6 has raw performance gains over the current competition, this video by PhoneBuff highlights what this advantage means in a real word test of loading a variety of apps and switching between them. Due to the differences between Android and iOS, the tester uses equivalent apps as closely as possible.
Apple is having a bad month. Sure, the company launched two new iPhones, introduced the world to their first wearable device, and debuted a brand-new NFC payment system, but for everything that went right something somewhere also seems to have gone horribly wrong.
